“With over 25 years of experience in the horse industry, not only in the dressage arena but also with hunter/jumpers, western pleasure, and equine rehabilitation, I feel I have a well-rounded experience to offer many different riders. My goal is to give each rider the help they need to build a partnership with their horse and reach their individual goals.

The word dressage is simply a French word that means ‘training.’ It is the foundation of all forms of riding and can be used to improve any horse while teaching the rider to better feel their horse and understand what is happening under the saddle.”
- Stacey Murphy, Trainer
Our Philosophy
RI Riding Academy is a welcoming riding program for those who want to build their skills and learn from an experienced instructor in a friendly, supportive environment

Our approach combines thoughtful instruction with individualized attention. Students develop practical riding skills while gaining a deeper understanding of horse behavior, care, and communication. We believe there is always something new to learn, whether you're working toward a specific goal or simply looking to become a more confident, capable equestrian.

We work with a range of experience levels, from those just getting started to more experienced equestrians looking to continue developing their skills.
We intentionally keep the program small so we can get to know the people and horses we work with and provide a more personalized experience. Whether you're working toward a specific goal or simply looking for a place to keep learning and enjoy time with horses, we'd love to meet you.
